About the role
As part of this Drivers Mate job in Abingdon, you will support the driver with daily delivery operations and ensure a high standard of service throughout.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring items are handled safely
- Support the driver with navigation and route guidance where required
- Communicate effectively with the driver and wider team to maintain timely deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle environment
- Carry out heavy lifting in line with health and safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service, responding professionally to queries or concerns
Hours: 04:30am start, Monday to Friday (finish approximately 2:00pm)
Pay: £30,537 per annum
About you
To be successful in this Drivers Mate job in Abingdon, you should demonstrate reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Previous experience as a Driver’s Mate or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong communication skills for working with both colleagues and customers
- Ability to carry out heavy lifting safely and efficiently
