Our client in the Cowley area of Oxford is currently recruiting for an experienced Welder. The client specialises in the build of exhaust systems that are then fitted to a variety of automotive vehicles before leaving the plant.
This TIG Welder job in Oxford involves using a variety of weld types, mainly TIG, as well as machines, to build exhaust systems from scratch.

About the role
As the various pieces that form an exhaust come off the machines, you will weld them together to create the complete unit.
Previous experience producing quality welds is essential for this role. You will need to demonstrate beforehand that you have experience in a similar kind of role. More often than not, a weld test / trial will be expected before confirmation of your placement.
Training will be provided, although the client is looking for candidates who can ‘hit the ground running’. The client will request any available candidates to complete a weld test on site to understand their level of competency.
About you
For this TIG Welder job in Oxford, previous experience doing quality welds is essential. You will need to have experience in a similar kind of role and be able to demonstrate your competency through the requested weld test / trial.
The client will provide training, but candidates should be able to ‘hit the ground running’ and have relevant experience working with weld types, mainly TIG, as well as machines used to build exhaust systems.
