Recruitment Solutions is currently recruiting for a Helpdesk Assistant job in Headington on behalf of our client based in Headington, Oxfordshire. This is a temporary opportunity expected to last approximately three months, with the possibility of extension.

The role sits within a busy Service Centre team and focuses on delivering excellent customer service to a wide range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and managing service requests, ensuring all information is accurately recorded, and monitoring tasks through to completion in line with service level specifications.

This position would suit someone with previous customer service or call centre experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing a professional and helpful service at all times.

About the role

This Helpdesk Assistant job in Headington involves working within the Service Centre team to ensure that customer requests are handled efficiently and professionally.

You will be responsible for receiving requests from stakeholders via telephone and email and ensuring that these are processed in a timely manner. Each request must be logged accurately within the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system in line with the Performance Management System (PMS) requirements.

A key part of the role involves monitoring all logged requests through to completion, ensuring the relevant information is transferred to the appropriate department so the required work can be carried out.

You will regularly review calls and requests logged on the database to monitor their progress, identify any priority tasks, and ensure that all work is completed within the agreed service levels.

The position also involves communicating instructions to facilities staff and recording actions taken in response to requests. This helps ensure teams are able to meet the performance targets associated with the contract.

Additional related administrative tasks may also be required as part of the role.

Shift pattern:

  • 4 days on – 06:00 to 18:30

  • 4 nights on – 18:00 to 06:30

  • 4 days off between rotations
