Recruitment Solutions are working with a market leading business within the engineering sector, supplying products accross the globe. Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced Engineering Technician to join the well established team, based out of Didcot, South Oxfordshire.

As the Resident Engineering Technician you will provide a first line fix to all of the companys and third party products installed on site, you will also support continuous improvement activities, that underpin site performance and will uphold and maintain health and safety standards at all times.

About the role

  • Reactive and Preventative Maintenance activities of the automation equipment and third party products installed on site
  • Support the automation to operate at its maximum efficiency ensuring that the customers’ orders are not missed
  • Complete all necessary reports, inclusive of shift, maintenance tasks, spare parts usage and toploss, whilst working in DART and CMMS software platforms
  • Actively seek root cause when remedying any breakdowns on equipment and software
  • Comply to all current health and safety legislation at all times

About you

  • Minimum NVQ level 2 Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Proficient communication skills and customer focused
  • Ability to work in a time critical environment
  • Able to work flexible shift patterns
  • Demonstrated ability for solving problems
  • Preferred experience of working within Materials Handling
