Recruitment Solutions are working with a market-leading business within the Industrial sector, seeking a Warehouse Operative/Loader based in Exeter. This is a full-time night shift position, working 9pm – 5am, with a structured rota of five shifts per week. Saturday is always a day off, with a second rest day allocated on a rota basis.
This Warehouse Operative job in Exeter offers an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team within a busy operational environment. The role is temporary to permanent, leading to a permanent contract following a successful probation period.
Upload your CVAs a Warehouse Operative/Loader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse facility. This position involves handling materials, operating warehouse equipment, and supporting daily logistics operations.
Duties include:
Loading and unloading goods using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment
Operating warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock movements
Handling materials efficiently while maintaining organisation within the warehouse and loading areas
Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed during daily operations
Supporting the organisation of stock storage areas for optimal space utilisation
Collaborating with team members to meet daily operational targets
This role involves heavy lifting and requires strict adherence to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Hours between 06:00 – 18:00 paid at £14.22
Hours between 06:00 – 18:00 paid at £16.35
Hours between 06:00 – 18:00 paid at £17.78
To be successful in this Warehouse Operative job in Exeter, you will ideally have previous warehouse experience, although this is not essential. You should be comfortable working in a physically demanding role and be able to contribute effectively within a team environment.
Key requirements include:
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential
Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Physical fitness to stand, lift, and move items throughout the shift
