About the role
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections, maintenance and repairs across a range of vehicles while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting thorough vehicle inspections to identify faults and determine required repairs.
• Performing routine maintenance including oil changes, tyre rotations and brake inspections.
• Using diagnostic equipment to accurately troubleshoot vehicle issues.
• Repairing or replacing faulty components, including engines, transmissions and electrical systems.
• Maintaining accurate records of services completed and parts used.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean working environment.
• Collaborating with colleagues to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
This Vehicle Technician job in Wantage offers full-time hours from Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required to ensure all work is completed to the required standard and within agreed timescales.
About you
To be considered for this Vehicle Technician role, you will need:
• A minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar position.
• Experience working with cambelts and clutches.
• The ability to carry out routine servicing, including oil changes, tyre rotations and brake inspections.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle faults.
• The ability to repair or replace mechanical and electrical vehicle components, including engines and transmissions.
• Good record-keeping skills with attention to detail.
• A commitment to health and safety standards and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Strong teamwork skills and a focus on delivering excellent service.
