About the Role

In this Logistics Team Leader job in Berinsfield, you will support the management of warehouse and stores operations while remaining hands-on within the working environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising, coordinating, and supporting a team of logistics and stores operatives
  • Leading regular team stand-up meetings to communicate priorities, objectives, and key updates
  • Enforcing health and safety regulations and ensuring compliance with company procedures
  • Overseeing the storage, kitting, and dispatch of goods and materials
  • Maintaining accurate stock records using the inventory management system
  • Ensuring FIFO principles are followed, with attention to product life cycles
  • Conducting stock checks and supporting internal and external audits
  • Allocating work and monitoring performance to ensure KPIs and deadlines are met
  • Investigating and reporting stock discrepancies, damages, or delivery issues
  • Ensuring kits are correctly allocated and processed within internal systems
  • Supporting training and development of team members
  • Liaising with procurement, production, composites, and other departments
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting efficiency initiatives
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-managed warehouse environment
  • Providing hands-on operational support, including forklift operation when required
  • Managing off-site storage and supporting effective stock rotation
  • Working closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure mechanical handling equipment is serviced and maintained

  • To be successful in this Logistics Team Leader job in Berinsfield, you will bring previous supervisory experience and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. You will demonstrate:
    • Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
    • Background within a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally manufacturing
    • Strong knowledge of warehouse and logistics procedures
    • Good computer skills with experience using ERP systems such as SAP or similar
    • Forklift licence preferred, with training available if required
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels
