About the role

In this Class 1 and Class 2 Driver job, you will be responsible for safely operating a vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. You will assist in the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring all items are handled carefully and efficiently.

Accurate record-keeping is a key part of the role, including logging deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and reporting any incidents or delays. You will also be expected to adhere strictly to company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety, delivery protocols, and customer service standards.

The role offers a range of pay rates depending on shift times:

• Hours between 06:00 – 18:00: £19.24 per hour (Class 1) / £17.89 per hour (Class 2)
• Hours between 18:00 – 22:00: £22.13 per hour (Class 1) / £20.57 per hour (Class 2)
• Hours between 22:00 – 06:00: £24.05 per hour (Class 1) / £22.36 per hour (Class 2)
• Overtime after 48 hours: £28.86 per hour (Class 1) / £26.84 per hour (Class 2)

About you

To be successful in this Class 1 and Class 2 Driver job, you must hold a valid and in-date CPC qualification. A clean and responsible driving record is essential, with no more than 6 points on your licence.

You should be physically fit and capable, as the role involves some manual work, including loading and unloading goods. A minimum of one year’s experience working as a Class 1 or Class 2 driver is required.
