Warehouse Part Leader


The Warehouse Part Leader will need to plan, direct and coordinate the Warehouse and Inventory operations for LGUK’s white and brown goods network. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, efficiency, forecasting and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. You will be responsible for holding weekly team meetings, cost and process efficiency reviews and performance appraisals.

Clear communication will be required between internal reporting lines, suppliers and the customer.

You will manage a team of Supervisors, Team Leaders and other indirect employee’s.

About the role

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Ensure that all employees are following company policies, processes and working in a cost efficient manner as per the requirements of the business and customer.
  • Working towards improving operational systems and processes to guarantee the organisations well-being and efficiencies.

  • Review financial data to improve cost efficiencies.
  • Ensure effective communication to internal and external customers and departments.
  • Ensure all staff are following the company’s Health & Safety policy.
  • Ensuring departmental KPI’s targets are achieved.
  • To ensure the minimum site KPI of 95% is achieved on a weekly basis for OTR – On Time Receiving and OTP – On Time Picking.
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers to ensure business requirements are met and adhered to.
  • To provide data, analysis and reporting for monthly business reviews with LGEUK.
  • To monitor, review and process unit damage units caused by Pantos employees’ with insurance provider.
  • To provide detailed support for Warehouse and Inventory
  • To be proactive in managing the volume of work through the warehouse and inventory departments.
  • To conduct monthly staff reviews.
  • Hold weekly Team Leader meetings in order to review any concerns or issues.
  • To be heavily involved in the integrity of stock within the warehouse, including supporting and guiding stock takes.
  • Management of staffing levels through non-peak and peak periods, ensuring all staff take their holidays prior to the end of year.
  • Must be able to create Excel files, including in-depth knowledge on formulas for detailed analysis.
  • To support the warehouse during busy periods by picking, loading, receiving.

  • Experienced in running warehouse operation.

  • Intermediate IT skills (MS Office, GTMS, GWMS).
  • Intermediate to Expert level Microsoft Excel skills.
