About the role

Recruitment Solutions are currently searching for an experienced Operations Manager/Supervisor in a warehouse / distribution environment.  The ideal candidate would manage an existing team by organising timely operations as requested by the contract customers, and contribute to operate customs warehouse in the company.  Additionally you would be expected to set up new procedures in order to accommodate new businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overall Warehouse Management
• Accurately manage business KPI’s and monitor daily updates
• Work in close liaison with customers to achieve requirements in a timely manner
• Completion of monthly inventory reconciliation
• Responsible for overseeing the day to day customs activities
• Allocating tasks, managing individual performance, training, coaching and supporting the team
• Support business development and other corporate projects; such as Brexit and warehouse expansion. Providing advice and solutions with respect to customs
• Undertake specific projects, cross functional support or other duties as required in order to drive and enhance the business in all areas

About you

Candidate Expectations:

• Strong knowledge & experience on all Microsoft packages
• Ability to achieve and work with tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and sense of ownership
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Through understanding of customs warehousing requirements
• Successful completion of HMRC Audits, including AEOF, CFSP & Customs warehousing
• Experience in goods classification & valuation
• Good problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining calm
• Effective communicator with both internal and external teams
• Positive attitude and willingness to be flexible & adaptable where the business needs
• Ability to travel for business purposes, including audits and on-site customer support
