Our client in Manchester is looking to recruit a Process Operator in their Mixing department

About the role
Work in accordance with Instructions and Approved Codes of Practice
- Receive chemicals throughout the day
- Check deliveries against packing list/s
- Contact management team if any discrepancies found with deliveries
- Label receipts with designated “VP” number
- Ensure materials are stored in a safe manner and are accessible
- Ensure empty drums are stored in a safe manner prior to disposal
- Prepare/blend correct coating solutions following production schedules provided
- Calculate mix requirements for production runs from machine foreman
- Follow recipes as laid out in the ‘Mix Instructions’
- Label mixes with Mix Number, Date, Shade, Weight and Signature
- Deliver coating solutions to required coating heads
- Work under own initiative and seek guidance when required
- Monitor stock levels of consumables and advise management accordingly
- Complete Daily Chemical Stock Sheet and Distribute to the management team
- Assist General Manager with monthly stock return
- Report any major chemical spillages to the factory foreman
- Daily housekeeping of work area
- Maintain Specified Batch Records
- Ensure Stock Materials Are Correctly Labelled
- Ensure Mixing Equipment is routinely maintained
The working times and pay:
- Monday to Thursday 6am-6pm
- Overtime available on a Friday
About you
Skills/Experience Needed:
- Good attention to detail
- Good Numeracy skills
- Counterbalance FLT desirable
- Full training provided
