About the role

Main Duties & Responsibilities but not limited to;

• To work five days from seven on 0600-1500 or 1300 -2200 shifts.
• To lead the team to deliver the cleaning, portering and waste departments
• To conduct timesheets, stock control, risk assessments, annual leave request’s , training, return to work interviews, recruitment of staff, appraisals.
• To monitor usage of domestic equipment and machines. Ensuring these are maintained in clean and good working condition. To report any faulty equipment to supervisor, ensuring that H&S remains a priority at all times
• To undertake all Major and Minor periodic cleaning duties required by the department/services. (Periodic Tasks – carpet cleaning, stripping/sealing/polishing of floors, cleaning ceiling tiles.)
• To assist in the cover of staff who are absent, off sick or on annual leave as may be required by the department/service
• To assist the manager when required with administrative duties. (carrying out performance monitoring inspections, audits, checks etc…..)
• To lead the team to achieve departmental objectives and conduct on the job training via agreed modules and tool box talks.
• To monitor staff performance and regularly feedback to the manager any performance related issues

About you

The ideal candidate should have:

• Must have supervision experience in a commercial sector ideally in education
• Able to commit to the shifts, working 5 out of 7 days
• 5 out of 7 days does include weekends
• Working hours; 0600-1500 or 1300 -2200

Pay rate: £13.76PH / £28,705.48 PA, subject to a company uplift in April / May 2023.

This is a 12 week temp to perm contract.
