One of the Midland’s largest construction companies, GF Tomlinson are looking to bring more than 1500 new jobs to the region thanks to an exciting new development scheme at Burton Gateway Industrial Park.
Work on the sites first industrial unit will commence later this month and will look to bring the East Staffordshire region considerable economic growth. Because of this, GF Tomlinson will be working with site developers St. Modwen to recruit a variety of different tradesmen to work on the 64 acre site over the course of 2016.
Once complete, the Burton Gateway site will be one of the largest employment sites in East Staffordshire, with a number of new offices and service yards forming part of a larger development plan that will also include up to 660 new homes.
When asked about the project, Paul Fish, Director at GF Tomlinson said: “We are well known for our experience in the commercial, industrial and retail sectors and are pleased to have secured repeat work from St. Modwen on its key developments within the Midlands.
“Work is progressing well on the Burton Gateway site and we are well on track for completion. Our team has undertaken significant groundwork’s on the site in order to establish gas, water and electricity services for the client. We’re delighted to be the first on this significant development, which will bring new jobs and homes to local people in the surrounding area.”
